about

A collection of four guitar/computer improvisations, recorded in 2011. (Two of these recordings have been published on my Soundcloud under different names.)

These pieces somehow point back to four guitar/loop improvisations that I recorded in 1990, called "Broken Cup" (www.michaelpeters.de/brokencup.htm).

The title, of course, refers to something Robert Fripp once said:

'Music is the cup that holds the wine of silence. Sound is that cup, but empty. Noise is that cup, but broken.'
